Circular Economy – our contribution to sustainability
The „circular economy „– or even more specifically in our case the „circular IT“ – enables our customers and us to not only embrace corporate social responsibility activities, but also to increase sustainability on many levels. By purchasing refurbished IT products instead of new IT products, the product life cycle of each product being reused will be extended. This has huge beneficial impacts on both reducing IT waste (which already is a massive global problem) and reducing the consumption of natural resources required for manufacturing new IT products such as copper and cobalt. As a result, fewer new IT products will be manufactured and therefore we prevent the generation of further CO² emissions which would occur during the manufacturing process.
The general global mind shift towards „thinking green“ has already led its groundwork to a huge open-minded setting of companies and public institutions for refurbished IT products. A constantly increasing number of companies and pubic institutions across Europe and worldwide are allocating more and more IT budgets towards refurbished IT infrastructure. This is not only because of a corporate social responsibilty agenda or for sustainability purposes, but also because of huge saving opportunities compared to new IT products. At Tonitrus, we also offer a standard 3 year warranty on all refurbished products which can even be extended by optional maintenance & support contracts available with us.

We buy your obsolete IT products – Profitable. Secure. Sustainable.
Our services include the deinstallation and collection of obsolote IT products right from our customers installation site with technically skilled personnel. All products will get a digital signature during the collection process and all sensitive data will be deleted during our certified data erasure procedure in line with GDPR and by applying the data erasure protocol of your choice. After testing and a refurbishing process that leads to a „as good as new“ quality, we offer such products again to our customers across Europe and worldwide.
Why is IT Asset Disposal and IT Recycling so important?
Over 60% of total energy consumption for a single new IT product is already being used during manufacturing and logistic processes. Only 40% of energy consumption is being used during the actual use of the product during its product lifecycle. This clearly shows the importance of using IT products as long as possible in whatever IT scenario possible and and at whatever company or institution. Due to a fast-paced technological change, we understand that IT products need to be replaced at certain points, but there is always a use scenario for a different customer where such products can still be of huge help for a very long time.
